Ambon is a charming island in the Indonesian province of Maluku, and it's the archipelago's largest and capital city. In the local dialect, the name Ambon means beautiful. Like the rest of the country, the area is rich in spices, vegetables, seafood and fruit. It's also a port city, so the town exports many spices, such as nutmeg and cloves. As a result, it earned itself the nickname of The Island of Spices. There are several cultural and historical sites to visit. Music plays a significant role in the culture, which locals exhibit through natural prowess. The island was recognised as The City of Music by UNESCO in 2019. Also, Ambon's gastronomic expertise is a marvel in itself.

Clean, budget-friendly rooms are available in many areas of the island. Decent guesthouses, inns and hotels to pricier resorts and cottages with sunset views overlooking the bay are all available. Ambon's range of comfortable, well-equipped accommodation options helps to ensure that everyone can find an ideal room, no matter the budget.
